2020-2021 Annual Fund

October 16, 2020

Dear Parents,

In 1977, La Scuola was founded on Italian excellence and has continued those  traditions thanks to the generosity of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, friends and grandparents. We are committed to providing a tailored, global, multilingual program while instilling a love of learning in our students. We are a community of learners, with teachers at our heart.

Each year our classrooms are invigorated with the exciting energy of new families and faces. Due to the international nature of our community, we experience a turnover of incoming and outgoing students each year. This exchange is a natural component of who we are as a multicultural school, though it results in a significant fluctuation in unplanned revenue and costs each school year.

This year, the unprecedented impact on a global level from COVID-19 has brought unexpected changes to our community and required adapting our programming and facilities to prioritize the health of our students. Like many other schools, we lost significant enrollments due to the pandemic, and now, more than ever, we enlist your support. We seek to be prepared as a community to maintain a consistent, quality program. Our goal is to grow our enrollment over the next several years to reach our full capacity, which will dramatically expand the school’s funding while maintaining our desirable small class sizes. We are working toward this goal through marketing our value and enhancing our programming.

Your philanthropic support today will sustain the quality of La Scuola’s curriculum, program, and faculty as we work toward our goals. We respectfully request your investment in one or more of the following key areas of need:

• Faculty Compensation Fund                          • Core Curriculum Fund

• Excellence in Education Scholarship Fund       • Renaissance Society Programmatic Fund

We invite you to join the legacy of philanthropy at La Scuola and play an active role in sustaining our vision of excellence for this school year. Out of respect for your generosity, it is our responsibility to steward your gift, uphold any restrictions or designations for how the gift is allocated, and dutifully report on our progress.

With appreciation and warm regards,

Massimo D’Angelo,

Chair Board of Trustees
